The Australian Marine Industries Federation (AMIF) is the peak national body, representing all sectors of the Recreational and Light commercial Boat Building and associated Marine Industry.
The AMIF is the co-ordinating body of the six state associations, each known as the BIA New South Wales, BIA Victoria, BIA Queensland, BIA South Australia and BIA Western Australia. These are the organisations responsible for boating in their State.
AMIF is responsible for the promotion of Australia's international competitiveness in boating and marine products. It is responsible for the implementation of national initiatives, domestic and export marketing strategies and cooperative programs, where appropriate in association with government, designed to generate strong economic growth as well as sustainable employment opportunities.
