The SBA is primarily a division devoted to Boat Building and Repairer Services.
They are unique in NSW, encompassing company membership, individual tradesman, apprentices and sub-contractors, and also providing a forum to address issues relevant to the industry and trade needs.
The SBA's main objectives include:-
- Creation of a forum through which members can obtain continuing eduation and upgrading of skills and knowledge through accreditation, trade nights, seminars, demonstrations and product promotions.
- To develop and recognise a code of work practice
- To foster consumer and government recognition through association self-regulation
- To provide a recognised identity for association members.

- Maintenance and repairs on all vessel types
- Anti-fouling
- Safety Checks
- Spray-painting
