Subject: Keep Australia Fishing.
National campaign to protect recreational fishing.


A detailed report titled “Keep Australia Fishing”. The independent report was commissioned by the Boating Fishing Council of Australia (BFCA) of which BIANSW and Boating Industries Alliance are members.

The report was prepared by Martin Salter, who served as Parliamentary Spokesman for Angling in the British Parliament. He said “the 54 page report drew on best practice from other countries around the world where recreational fishing was properly respected and valued as a significant economic contributor”. The report covers the many challenges facing Australia’s most popular recreational pursuit and calls for a national campaign to protect recreational fishing thus enhancing boating opportunities.
