Thoroughbreds of the turf give way to boats in March, 2010, with the seventh staging at the Rosehill Gardens Events Centre of the popular trailer boat show organised by the Boating Industry Association of NSW (BIA).

The show is set for the weekend of March 6 and 7 and will be open each day from 9am to 5pm.

Since its move in 2002 from the nearby Silverwater Park, where it was known as The Great Silverwater Boat Show, the new and improved facilities at Rosehill have seen the show go from strength to strength.

It has become the show for genuine bargain hunters, too, with exhibitors keen to talk deals on boats, engines, electronics, fishing tackle and all manner of boating equipment and accessories.

“Many of our members utilise Rosehill to clear excess stock and for that reason the show has provided some real opportunities for boat buyers,” Domenic Genua, Marketing and Events Manager for the BIA explained.

Genua said that since making use of the Rosehill Gardens Event Centre in 2002, exhibitor attendance had tripled.

“We’re very fortunate in that the exhibitors list comprises the absolute pick of Sydney’s marine dealerships, and for added icing on the cake we have extra attractions like Brett Thompson and his performing fish in the massive Supertank and an informative display by NSW Maritime” he added.

“In addition to the latest boating information, show visitors to the NSW Maritime exhibit can re-new boating licences and registration and pick up brochures dealing with all manner of recreational boating information.”

The Rosehill facility offers an enjoyable day’s outing for the families, too, with numerous food and drink stands and ample seating available on the lawns beneath shade-giving trees.
