This course will provide you with an understanding of fire awareness and prevention, plus what to do and what NOT to do if faced with a fire in your workplace or at home.
This course is recommended for anyone working in the boating industry, and skills learnt can be transferred into your home.
Course Content
• The nature of fire
• Risk assessment and common fire hazards
• Fire safety in the workplace and at home
• The role of fire wardens in the workplace
• Evacuation
• All types of extinguishers, positioning and signage
• Classes of fire and the correct extinguisher to use
• Practical, hands on use of a range of fire extinguishers including CO2, dry powder, fire blanket, foam, and water (actual hot fires)
Who should attend?
Anyone who works in the industry including employees, principle contractors and their employees, tenants and sub-tenants.
