 The Marine Card WHS General Induction training provides all workers in the marine industry with a basic knowledge of requirements and obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, the common hazards and risks likely to be encountered on sites, and how they should be controlled.
This induction applies to marinas, boatyards, workshops, slipways, retails outlets, etc, and anyone who is technically “at work” when they are on the premises i.e. staff or contractors.
As a ‘Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking’, the Marine Card shows you the card holder has undertaken the induction and is aware of their general obligations and responsibilities, alleviating you from going through the detail.
As a ‘Worker’, the Marine Card demonstrates to marinas and other businesses that you are aware of generic WHS requirements, as required under the Act.

• An overview of legislation
• Identifying your responsibilities
• Incident costs and case studies
• Hazard identification and risk assessment – eliminate or control exercise
• Material Safety Data Sheets activity
• Identification of safety signs
• Safe Work Method Statement exercise
• Open discussion, real life examples and knowledge checks to help you understand your responsibilities
Who should attend?
Anyone who works in the industry, including employees, principle contractors and their employees, sub-contractors, tenants and sub-tenants.

$105 (inc GST) per person
